Hey Spartans! Check out some upcoming events and deadlines below! Schedule Hero Register for classes in a flash Schedule Hero is UNCG’s new tool that makes registration quick and easy. You can use this tool to search for courses, block out time conflicts, and automatically generate dozens of possible schedules based on your criteria. Work with your advisor and review your progress toward graduation through DegreeWorks, then get started planning your classes. Access Schedule Hero from this link or through iSpartan, UNCGenie, or the UNCG mobile app.  VIDEO RECAP Freshman Forum: Getting Ready for Spring Course Registration  Thank you to everyone who participated in the live Freshman Forum: Getting Ready for Spring Course Registration virtual program.  If you were unable to participate in the live program – no worries! Recordings from all program sessions are now available. We highly encourage all first-year students to watch or rewatch these very helpful videos in preparation for spring course registration.  Visit go.uncg.edu/freshmanforum to access the recordings from the event! Advising and Registration Next semester is right around the corner and it’s time to see your advisor to register for Spring 2022 classes!  Steps to be Prepared for Registration: Reach out to your advisor to schedule an advising appointment – your advisor’s name is listed in UNCGenie. If you do not see an advisor listed, please refer to this list of majors to find your College or School and the links on this page for contact information. Review the Registration Guide to learn step-by-step instructions for how to navigate the registration process. Check UNCGenie to see your assigned registration window.  Enter the Secure Area–> click Student tab–> click Registration–> click Check your Registration Status–> select Spring 2022 and Submit. YFY Success Series Mark your calendar for all YFY Success Series events this semester! These workshops are especially applicable to new students, helping you refine your academic skills and explore your personal purpose.  Remember, you will receive a First Year Success Certificate if you attend at least 6 Success Series events during the academic year. We also give away gift cards at each event! Here are this month’s events: Storm the Streets Tuesday, November 9 at 4:15 p.m. Meet at the UNCG Baseball Stadium  Bring your Spartan spirit to Storm the Streets on Tuesday, November 9 for the men’s basketball home opener. To kick-off the event, all Spartans will gather at the UNCG Baseball Stadium at 4:15 p.m. for a march to the Greensboro Coliseum. This year the Spartans will take on local rival North Carolina A&T starting at 7 p.m. and we will win (AGAIN).  Wear your best blue and gold. Be creative, the best-dressed Spartans will have a chance to win a prize at the spirit contest! Be sure to RSVP on Spartan Connect to stay up to date. This is an event you do not want to miss. Thanksgiving Break Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, November 24-26 Thanksgiving break begins on Wednesday, November 24; be sure to enjoy some of your favorite foods and show your thanks to those who matter to you! UNCG offices will be closed November 25 – 26. Offices will open and classes will resume on Monday, November 29.
