Rawkin’ Welcome Weeks
Rawkin’ Welcome Weeks is a great opportunity for students to continue the transition to college life at UNCG and find out what it means to be a Spartan.
All events are designed to help you get acclimated to campus by learning about academic support resources, campus programs and services, and most importantly, a chance to meet friends and make new Spartan connections.

First Friday @ the G! in the Elliott University Center (6:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Join us for First Friday @ the G on August 11th!
From 6pm-8pm there will be multiple campus departments and groups through out the EUC hosting various activities such as bingo, customized street signs, vision boards, bracelet making and so much more.
At 8pm you can head to the Cone Ballroom for a Spartan Family game night! There will be retro arcade games, a photo booth, life size board games and other activities!

Spartan Fest Pool Party in the Kaplan Center (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Dive into the start of the semester and join us at the Kaplan Center for a pool party! There will be a live DJ, a ton of pool inflatables, and new to this year are basketball challenges and a fitness obstacle course! You won’t want to miss out on this event!

1GNITE in the Elliott University Center (Starts at 3:30 PM)
It’s time to IGNITE your first year! Wear spirited blue and gold for the annual class photo and then pick up your NAV1GATE swag bag and First Year Success Planner! Dinner and Live @ the G follows IGNITE. Be on the lookout for details in your UNCG email; this event is required for all new first year students.

Head over to the UNCG Auditorium for a live hypnotist show!
This is an interactive show where the audience gets to choose throughout the show on what skits they want to see the hypnotized people do. Be prepared to laugh and be amazed!

It’s time to NAV1GATE your first year! Wear your gray UNCG t-shirt you received at SOAR. You’ll hear from the Chancellor, Deans and your faculty as well as have fun with fellow new Spartans, the cheer and dance teams, pep band and more! Be on the lookout for details in your UNCG email; this event is required for all new first year students.

They can give you directions and answer any questions you might have. Spartan SPEARS are easy to spot because they will be wearing bright lime green t-shirts!
