Rawkin' Welcome Weeks is a great opportunity for students to continue the transition to college life at UNCG and find out what it means to be a Spartan. All RWW events are designed to help you get acclimated to campus by learning about academic support resources, campus programs and services, and most importantly, a chance to meet friends and make new Spartan connections.

Friday, Aug. 12th
EUC Poster Sale in EUC Commons (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM): Looking to decorate your room or apartment with cool posters and wall tapestries? Then stop by the EUC Poster Sale to take care of all your decorating needs.
First Friday @ the G! in Elliott University Center (5:00 PM - 11:00 PM): Join us for your First Friday @ the G! We will have a variety of activities starting at 5pm that include (but aren't limited to!) bingo, canvas painting, video game stations, succulents, trivia and more! Then at 8pm join us in Cone Ballroom for a black light bash dance party!

Spartanfest in Kaplan Center (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM): Dive into the start of the semester and join us at the Kaplan Center for a pool party! There will be music, a ton of pool inflatables, and you can even create a customized fanny pack! You won't want to miss out on this event!

1GNITE in Elliott University Center (3:00 PM - 5:00PM): To begin your college journey, we created a unique experience just for you! 1GNITE and NAV1GATE are special days for every new student coming to UNCG, including incoming freshmen and transfer students, designed to help you get to know the people, ideas, and opportunities that await you during your time here. Meet at the EUC Lawn for your Class Photo (wear your gray UNCG t-shirt your received at SOAR) and then inside EUC for your NAV1GATE t-shirt, planner and swag pick up!"

NAV1GATE in Fleming Gym (7:30 AM - 3:00 PM): NAV1GATE is a special day dedicated to new Spartans to help you get to know the people, ideas and opportunities that await you during your time here. You will hear from our chancellor, Franklin D. Gilliam, Jr., and connect with faculty, staff, student leaders, and your peers, who will show you the resources and support systems available to help you have a successful first year. You will participate in Spartan traditions to mark the beginning of your college career.

RHA Cash Cab in All over Campus (Hours TBD): Need a ride to class? Or just need a ride to the EUC? Well, RHA Swag Cab got you! There’s just one catch, you gotta answer some questions about UNCG & RHA to win some swag! The more questions you get correct, the better the swag! Get a question wrong? Astrology Cafe: University Libraries in the Stars in Jackson Library, Reference Room on Main Floor (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM): Hosted by the University Libraries, the Astrology Cafe will explore natal charts, horoscopes, and all things astrology over fun and casual conversations and snacks. LEAD Academy in Elliott University Center (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM): Lead Academy is a student group-focused leadership development conference. Combining group, personal, and professional development, Lead Academy provides head officers and other officers of registered student groups with the tools to best direct and govern their group.

Spartan Service Day in Cone Ballroom (8:00 AM - 1:00 PM): This annual university-wide day of service gives UNCG students an opportunity to get off campus and engage with different parts of our community through service! Participation is free and lunch is provided. We hope this day sparks your interest to continue to learn and serve in the Greensboro community and get involved on-campus and locally! HRL Carnival in Quad Lawn (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM): Come on out and join fellow Spartans as they engage in traditional carnival games! Come enjoy a funnel cake and popcorn, and enjoy some carnival rides all at the same time! It’s the perfect way to decompress after the first week of classes!

How to College 101: YFY Event in EUC Azalea (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM): Start your semester off strong! Stop by the Azalea room in the EUC to sign up for tutoring and academic skills sessions, get some tips on time management and studying, and connect with the Your First Year team about our YFY Success Series for first year students. Hosted by Your First Year and the Academic Achievement Center. Visit the YFY table in the EUC commons for info, or head straight over to the Azalea room for the event!
Therapy Pets with the University Libraries in Jackson Library, Main Floor (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM): Come meet the cutest pets at our therapy pet event hosted by University Libraries in partnership with North Carolina Pet Partners! Handlers and their animals will be stationed throughout the main floor of Jackson Library.
ACE Interest Meeting in EUC. Auditorium (7:30 PM to 8:30 PM): Come learn about ACE! ACE is our university programming board that plans over 100 campus wide events each year. We are looking for students to join to help in the brainstorming, planning and execution of various events!
Bronze Spartan Leadership Challenge Kick-Off in EUC Claxton (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM): The Bronze level of the Spartan Leadership Challenge is open to all UNCG students and is a great way to meet new people, gain key career competencies, and develop essential leadership skills to create positive change. Gallery Talk in Weatherspoon Art Museum (12:00 PM - 12:30PM): Learn how the museum curated its newest exhibition, Bestiary: Animals as Symbols and Metaphors, in this casual gallery talk.

ACE Event: Hypnotist in EUC Auditorium (6:00 PM - 8:30PM): This is an interactive, laugh out loud, drop to your knees funny, comedy hypnosis show! In between each skit David will throw a ball into the crowd, then a random audience member who catches the ball will be shown 2 large cards. First is a black card with a scenario/skit, followed by a white card with possible outcomes. Based on the audience member’s decision that skit will be performed by the hypnotized participants on stage. This unpredictable show gives a truly unique experience for the hypnotized participants as well as the audience.

EUC Red Cross Blood Drive- Co-sponsored with SGA in EUC Cone Ballroom (8:30 AM - 6:30 PM): Do you part to save lives by signing up to donate at the EUC America Red Cross Blood Drive. All donors will receive a 10.00 E-Gift Card to a vendor of their choice and a Red Cross T-shirt (while supplies last). Students can also sign up to volunteer at the drive. AAC Time Management Workshop in EUC Sharpe (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM): Join the Academic Achievement Center for our one-hour workshop on time management, where we'll address: How to budget your time How to prioritize your tasks How to create a schedule that meets your needs This workshop is free for all UNCG students to attend.
