NAV1GATE: New Student Convocation

NAV1GATE is a day-long event for all new students, offering a celebratory welcome and a day rich in the history and traditions of UNCG. This day, the first day of the fall semester, is designed to help new students get to know the people, ideas, and opportunities that await during their time here at UNCG. It is a day set aside entirely for new Spartans to be inspired while also getting serious about the path ahead. NAV1GATE helps new students connect with faculty, staff, and student leaders who will show them the resources and support systems available to help them excel in their first year. While the day is designed to get Spartans ready for the academic experience ahead, it is a time to have fun and meet new friends, faculty and staff.

Spartan Service Day

Spartan Service Day is an annual university-wide day of service that takes place during Rawkin’ Welcome Week in August. It gives UNCG students an opportunity to get off campus and be introduced to different parts of our community while working with our community partners to made a difference. Participation is free. Volunteer teams will be lead by a student facilitator and transportation is provided from campus. We hope this day sparks your interest to continue to learn and serve in the Greensboro community and get involved on-campus and locally!
