Fall 2023 Class Schedules

All students who attended SOAR in June should have received a Fall 2023 class schedule. We encourage you to reach out to an academic advisor if you have any questions about your schedule or want to discuss potential schedule changes. Contact the advising center for your College or School as soon as possible to arrange an appointment with an advisor.

Students attending SOAR in August will meet with an advisor and receive their class schedules at SOAR.

The first day of classes for the Fall 2023 semester will be Tuesday, August 15. Please note that you will attend your Tuesday classes on August 15; your Monday class meetings will begin on Monday, August 21.

If you aren’t sure who to contact, text us at 1-336-541-6939 and YFY will be happy to help.

The Fall 2023 Move-In Process

If you are a residential student hopefully you have made plans to complete the first stage of the move-in process: Stop, Drop, and Roll taking place from July 15 to July 31. If you are interested in participating in this optional process make sure to act fast so you can bring your belongings to campus by Monday, July 31. We highly recommend utilizing, if able, the Stop, Drop, and Roll process as there will be limited parking around the Residence Halls during the general move-in timeframe.

Check out The Move-In Guide for all important details.

You can return to campus for Stay, Live, and Learn and begin living in your residence hall room between Wednesday, August 9 and Monday, August 14 depending on your assigned residence hall. Log into your housing portal to see what date you have been assigned. First-year students, be sure that you are settled in your room before Spartanfest on Saturday, August 12! Contact Housing & Residence Life at hrl@uncg.edu or 336.334.5636 if you have any questions about move-in.

First Weekend at the G!

Friday, August 11 – Monday, August 14

During your first weekend at the G you will participate in several UNCG traditions to kick-off the school year including Spartanfest, 1GNITE, Live @ the G!, and NAV1GATE!

In addition to free giveaways, free planners, class photos, cheer and dance, and blue & gold desserts, you are going to meet other new students, the University Chancellor, and some of your professors. You’ll also learn how to use Canvas and other classroom technologies that you’ll need to access for the first day of classes!
