Rawkin’ Welcome Weeks


The fun hasn’t stopped yet! Rawkin’ Welcome Weeks continues this week. Upcoming events will feature free food, Spartan athletics games, therapy pets, a hypnotist, a Greensboro Grasshoppers game, and a time management workshop! You can find the full calendar here

Add/Drop Deadline

Monday, August 22


Per the university’s academic calendar, today, Monday, August 22, is the last day to make course changes for the semester, also known as the add/drop deadline. 


Reach out to an academic advisor if you are considering adding or dropping any courses. If you aren’t sure who your advisor is, you can contact your college or school’s advising center. Select your college or school’s name on this website to see their contact information. You can add/drop classes in UNCGenie under the student “registration” menu.

YFY Success Series


Mark your calendar for all YFY Success Series events this September and stay tuned for a special edition of First Year Connect with more details! All programs included in the series assist new students as you refine your academic skills and explore your personal purpose. 


Remember, you will earn a First Year Success Certificate if you attend at least 5 events throughout the semester. Attend each event for a chance to win additional YFY giveaway items!

Labor Day

Monday, September 5 is Labor Day. Offices are closed and classes are not in session. Take advantage of the time off to get ahead on some of your assignments or practice #selfcare!

Virtual Part Time Job Fair

Looking for a part time job on campus? Career & Professional development is hosting a Virtual Part Time Job Fair on Thursday, September 8 from 1 – 4 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to learn about different employment opportunities on campus and meet potential employers.
