First Year Connect Newsletter: Edition 1

Hey Spartans!

Welcome to Your First Year at UNCG! Every month we will send you a First Year Connect newsletter which will highlight important campus dates, deadlines, resources, and opportunities you won’t want to miss. This is your first edition!

Fall 2022 Class Schedule

All students who attended SOAR in June should have received a Fall 2022 class schedule. We encourage you to reach out to an academic advisor if you have any questions about your schedule. Contact the advising center for your College or School as soon as possible to arrange an appointment with an advisor.

The first day of classes for the Fall 2022 semester is Tuesday, August 16. Please note that you will attend your Tuesday classes on August 16; your first Monday class meetings are on Monday, August 22.

If you aren’t sure who to contact, text us at 1-336-541-6939 and YFY will be happy to help.

The Fall 2022 Move-In Process

ACT NOW: Stop, Drop, and Roll ends Monday, August 1!  During this time, you can drop off items and set up your room for the fall semester before your assigned move in date. For more details about Stop, Drop, and Roll, check out The Move-In Guide.

Students can return to campus for Stay, Live, and Learn and begin living in your residence hall room between Wednesday, August 10 and Friday, August 12 depending on your residential hall. Log into your housing portal to see what date you have been assigned.

If you are attending SOAR in August please note that you must be moved in by Wednesday, August 10 so that you are ready for SOAR on Thursday, August 11.

Contact Housing & Residence Life at hrl@uncg.edu or 336.334.5636 if you have any questions about move-in.

First Weekend at the G!
