Hey Spartans!

When is the right time to start thinking about careers?
Now! This is the perfect time for you to explore internships, jobs, and careers. Get a feel for what the professional world is like by going to the Spring Career Fair.
  • February 26 from 1 – 4:30 p.m. in the Kaplan Center
  • Professional attire is required
  • Bring copies of your resume
If you need help with a resume, stop by the Center for Career & Professional Development for drop-in hours with a Career Coach from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. or a Peer Career Ambassador from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. any Monday-Friday.

Keker Common Experience Scholarship Deadline
Just four days left to apply for the Keker Common Experience Scholarship! You could win $1,000 and have your essay featured in next year’s Keker Success Guide. Apply here by 11:59 p.m. on February 28 to be eligible!

Spring Break
The week you all have been waiting for begins this weekend! Classes end for Spring Break at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 29. Classes will resume on Monday, March 9. Enjoy your week off from class and be sure to stay up-to-date on class assignments that may be due soon after you return.

WF Grade Deadline
Monday, March 9 is the final day to withdraw from a class without receiving a withdraw fail (WF) grade. This is the first day back from Spring Break, so be sure to think about this before you head off for break. A WF grade calculates as an “F” in your GPA. Talk to your advisor or an advisor in the Students First Office prior to the deadline if you are considering dropping any classes.

Priority Tutoring Request Deadline
Monday, March 9 is the priority deadline to request tutoring through the Academic Achievement Center (AAC) for the Spring 2020 semester. Tutoring requests are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis so submit your request as soon as possible! Students who submit a request after the March 9 priority deadline will be assigned a tutor only if an opening becomes available in an existing tutoring schedule.
