What has been your favorite part about attending YFY Success Series events?
My favorite part about attending YFY Success Series events is being able to engage with other first year students like me in events, or simply knowing they are there and going through the same thing I am. This reminds me that I am not alone in my first year struggles. The friendly people running the events are also a great help and very informative to have as support.
Which program(s) has been your favorite thus far?
My favorite program thus far are the workshops about stress reliever activities. They really helped me prepare and manage my workload from classes and find different ways to help me balance things in my school and social life.
How has the YFY Success Series helped you be successful throughout your first year of school?
YFY Success Series helped me be successful throughout my first year of school due to the exposure of different support systems that we have here on campus. I think being able to gain insight from the different workshops really helped push me to become successful.
What is the most valuable thing you have learned from the YFY Success Series?
The most valuable thing I have learned from the YFY Success Series is to explore and learn about what UNCG has to offer to students. It is important to understand, because we go to school here, all the different resources and academic support we have at our hands. It may be hard to ask for help, but UNCG wants to see us succeed, they want to help us.

My favorite part would probably have to be gaining more connection and the sweets that are provided at some of the programs.
Which program(s) has been your favorite thus far?
My favorite program so far has been the one about studying abroad.
How has the YFY Success Series helped you be successful throughout your first year of school?
The YFY Success Series helped me find resources that I will be able to use in the coming years as I continue my college career here.
What is the most valuable thing you have learned from the YFY Success Series?
The most valuable thing that I have learned from the YFY Success Series is that I am not alone and that if I need help finding the right resources I can reach out and ask for help from the resources that are set up to help first year students.

I love being able to connect with representatives from different university resources and programs. I learn so much from their unique experiences and they have such insightful answers to my questions.

First Finals Fest.
How has the YFY Success Series helped you be successful throughout your first year of school?
The YFY Success Series has helped me feel so much more prepared during my first year at UNCG. I gained several tools and contacts that helped me to succeed on an academic, professional, and personal level.
What is the most valuable thing you have learned from the YFY Success Series?
I’ve learned how to step out of my comfort zone and introduce myself to new people – many of them potential friends.

My favorite part about attending the YFY Success Series is it really helped me have a less stressful transition to college and helped me become connected on campus.
Which program(s) has been your favorite thus far?
The Memories and Focus Workshop was my favorite because it helped me with something I was really struggling with my first year.
How has the YFY Success Series helped you be successful throughout your first year of school?
The YFY success series helped me a lot with transitioning from virtual high school to in-person learning. It helped strengthen skills needed to be successful in college like studying, note taking, and memory.
What is the most valuable thing you have learned from the YFY Success Series?
The most valuable thing I learned from the YFY Success Series is to not be afraid to look for help. I was nervous about it at first but seeking out help was very beneficial to getting me to where I am now.
