RecFest in the Kaplan Center (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

Ready to party, Spartan-style? RecFest 2025 is taking over the Kaplan Center on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 6–10 PM with crate stacking, esports tournament, high-energy fitness classes, court sports, and a pool party you won’t want to miss! We’re raffling off big prizes like Airpods and Owala bottles, giving the first 400 students a limited-edition RecFest T-shirt, and serving FREE pizza!

Knots of Connection in EUC Azalea (3:30 PM – 4:30 PM)

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a personalized beaded keychain something small you can carry with you that represents connection, intention, or just a moment to breathe. As you string each bead and tie each knot, you’ll have space to reflect, reset, and reconnect with yourself and those around you.
This is a relaxed, judgment-free space to meet other students, share some conversation, and take a mindful break from your day. Come solo or bring a friend no experience needed, and all materials are provided.

Spartan Dining Summer Rewind in Fountain View Dining Hall (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Highlight summer flavors, beverage favorites, and colorful dishes along with novelty ice creams for dessert to let students hang onto summer a little bit longer and bring in the new semester.

We’ll also have lots of resources available, including information on how you can register for Mental Health First Aid Class to help support those around you who are experiencing a mental health challenge.
