  • 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. each day

Spartan SPEARS will be available to help you find your way this week. Look for volunteers wearing lime green t-shirts stationed around campus today and tomorrow. On Thursday and Friday, you will find SPEARS at a tent in front of the Forney Student Success Commons on College Avenue. Stop by and ask us any questions you might have as you navigate the start of the semester.

Academic Advising Drop-In Hours
Academic Advising Centers are offering special drop-in advising hours this week to answer questions about your schedule and help you make any necessary changes.   Find your Academic Advising Center using the link below for the best way to contact an advisor. Remember, the deadline to add or drop classes from your schedule is Monday, January 25.

Apply to be a Peer Academic Leader (PAL) 
Application deadline: January 31 at 11:55 p.m.

The application to be a Peer Academic Leader (PAL) is open! Are you looking to lead at the G? This is a great paid student leadership opportunity to continue your professional development. PALs help new students get adjusted to UNCG by serving as advocates, teaching assistants, and mentors in a section of FYE 101: Succeed at the G. Click here to read more about the PAL role. If you received a 3.5 GPA or higher last semester – congratulations and be on the lookout for an email from one of our two academic honor societies for new students at UNCG. First-year students will be invited to join Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) and transfer students will be invited to join Tau Sigma. Keker Common Experience Scholarship

You’ve already engaged in the Keker Common Experience, and now it’s time to apply for the Keker Common Experience Scholarship. Learn more about the requirements here and apply through the Spartan Scholarship System (S3 Portal) . You could receive up to $1,000 and be featured across campus!
