New Student Transitions & First Year Experience is committed to providing a comprehensive and collaborative approach to ensure the success and retention of our new students. To support faculty, staff, and graduate or undergraduate students who teach and/or work to support our first-year students, we recommend the following resources for you to explore.

UNCG faculty and staff who are committed to the success of our new students and want to help them transition successfully to life at the G, are encouraged to learn more about the FYE 101: Succeed at the G  program and reach out to Emily Wiersma, Associate Director of New Student Transitions and First Year Experience, at e_wiersm@uncg.edu.

New Student Transitions & First Year Experience coordinates a network of faculty, staff, and students from across campus to help support the Keker Common Experience program. These team members help create the Keker Success Guide, develop the Keker Success Series, and serve as evaluators for the Keker Common Experience Scholarship.
