Check out our event today, February 20, How to College 101: Midterm Matters from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in EUC Azalea. You can also view our March calendar of events below or visit our website to see the remaining semester schedule!


Some of the remaining events and workshops this semester include:

Students who attend events could win a water bottle, color changing cup, phone wallet, and more! Additionally, if you attend at least 5 programs throughout the 2022-2023 academic year, you will be eligible to receive a First Year Success Series Certificate.

Spring Career Fair

February 21

1 – 4:30 p.m.


Join Career & Professional Development for the Spring Virtual Career Fair on Tuesday, February 21 from 1 – 4:30 p.m. This all-majors recruiting event is designed to connect UNCG students and alumni with world class employers offering full-time, internship, and graduate opportunities.


This event is an opportunity to explore career options with a diverse set of employers and/or network with companies. In addition, a number of graduate schools will be in attendance to talk to students about their programs.

Application Deadline for Summer 2023 Study Abroad

March 1


UNCG Spartans are still studying abroad, and yes, you still have time to make study abroad part of your summer plans! Whether you want to be abroad this summer or just want to learn more and decide if study abroad is right for you, get started by completing Study Abroad 101 on Canvas.

Withdrawal/Fail Deadline

March 3


Friday, March 3, is the final day to withdraw from a class without receiving a withdraw fail (WF) grade. A WF grade is calculated as a failing grade in your GPA. Talk to an advisor from your academic college or school’s advising center prior to the deadline if you are considering dropping any classes. 

Spring Break

March 4-12


Classes end for Spring Break at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 4. Classes will resume on Monday, March 13. Enjoy your week off from class and be sure to stay up-to-date on class assignments that may be due soon after you return.

Summer 2023 Course Registration

Are you interested in taking classes this summer? Registration for Summer 2023 classes is now open. Reach out to your advisor if you want to discuss whether summer classes might be a good option for your academic plan. Your advisor can also provide instructions for how to register for summer classes. Not all students decide to take summer classes, but it can be a great option so be sure to explore whether this is right for you.

Academic Achievement Center


The Academic Achievement Center is dedicated to helping you create your own opportunities for learning.

  • The AAC’s Academic Skills specialists help you learn strategies to improve your time management, active learning, and critical thinking skills.
  • The AAC’s Peer Tutoring helps you improve your understanding of challenging course content and is available for over 30 different courses.

Writing Center


The University Writing Center is open to UNCG students, staff, and faculty for individual consultation at any stage of any writing project!


Here are a few reminders as you get ready for a visit, online or face-to-face, with the Writing Center:

  • Bring a written copy of the assignment.
  • Bring any previous feedback that you have received.
  • Your consultant will ask you what you want to work on: have an answer! Think about what to address in your Writing Center session, as this will focus your writing efforts.

Speaking Center



The University Speaking Center provides consultation support and instructional services to help speakers further develop their own oral communication confidence and competence. They provide peer-to-peer feedback, guidance, and other support in the areas of public speaking preparation and delivaery, interpersonal communication, and group or team communication.


This semester the Speaking Center is offering face-to-face and online hours.

Monday – Thursday: 10am-10pm

Friday: 9am-3pm

Saturday: Closed

Sunday: 4pm-8pm


Students can text the speaking center with ANY student question they have during hours of operation. Students have questions. We are students. We can help students find answers! 252.538.3407
