The application to be a Peer Academic Leader is open! This is a great paid student leadership opportunity to continue your professional development. PALS help first-year students get adjusted to UNCG by mentoring students in a section of FYE 101: Succeed at the G. More information about the online application can be found here.
Tutoring and Academic Skills Program (TASP)
The Student Success Center provides a range of services including tutoring. Signing up for a tutor can be greatly beneficial. Not to mention, requesting a tutor is a simple process.
Adjusting Back to Campus
After an extended break, getting back into the swing of things can be tough. Try helpful tools like Google Calendar or a planner to stay on top of everything. And, if you went home for an extended period of time, feeling homesick is more common than you think. If you feel like you’re struggling to re-adjust, someone is always willing to listen. The Counseling Center or the Dean of Students Office is a good place to start! What is Alpha Lambda Delta?
If you received a 3.5 GPA or higher last semester, congratulations! Be on the lookout for an email from Alpha Lambda Delta. This is a national honor society that recognizes outstanding first-year academic success. This is a great opportunity for involvement, leadership, and professional development.
