In New Student Transitions & First Year Experience (NST&FYE), we believe that student leaders are vital to our work in supporting new first-year and transfer students in their transition to campus.  Each year, we provide a variety of opportunities for current students to serve UNCG as members of the Spartan Orientation Staff, Peer Academic Leaders, or a SPEAR.  Additionally, students who earn a 3.5 GPA in their first semester have the opportunity to join Alpha Lambda Delta or Tau Sigma National Honor Society.

Through involvement with NST&FYE, our student leaders build transferable leadership skills and use their knowledge and perspectives as experienced peers to connect new students to the people, programs, and resources essential for success in the first year.
